Jada Kitetsei, ELITES…a lot of awesome fictional stuff happened. This is the first of many coming-out geek stories.

Ok, I admit it: I like science fiction. I also admit to several dozen RPG sessions in my past, but I defend myself; they were creative expression opportunities!

typical gamer?

Typical Gamer?

I think roleplay gets a bad rap from so many different angles. First off there’s the obvious societal stereotyping of fans of this genre as dependent basement-dwellers, of which I can claim I am neither. Of course I understand that some individuals actually are responsible for the perpetuation of that stereotype and shame on them! (more…)

BioWare Release: Mass Effect June 6, 2007

I’ve got high expectations for Mass Effect. Bioware’s Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) had me completely enthralled and kept me stolidly turning on my XBox for months after my Halo zeal died down. Now the studio responsible for allowing me full access to my dark-side potential has split from Lucas Arts and is doing their own original space opera story. If there’s an opera in space, sign me up for orbital launch. I’m there.

Expect a June roll-out but until then, vids like these will have to do!

thanks for keeping me informed, Newbiezilla!

I just found out my favorite rock/synth/techno/synchopathatronic band out of the Bean City released a new single packed with electronic and/or digital beats. I’m all over it…and I just found out it was released last year.

I’m on top of things.

Freezepop is an oddity for me. I discovered them much like a lot of fans did, through Guitar Hero, a video game in which players simulate live performances of well-known songs. Freezepop’s Get Ready 2 Rokk was thrown in for a little flavor, adding to the game its own sense of synthesized future-retro with a little bit [ok, a lot] of classic video game homage.
